About this Speaker

A native of Wilmington, Del. Tim Fitzgerald is the Director of Tennis at DuPont Country Club in Wilmington. He coaches high performance juniors — many of whom have excelled at the local level all the way through to the NCAA Division I level. Fitzgerald’s coaching experience also includes women’s cup inter-club teams, USTA League teams and numerous USTA Junior Team Tennis teams, utilizing the USTA’s Net Generation curriculum. Fitzgerald has been actively involved on and off the court with Rodney Street Tennis and Tutoring, the Delaware Tennis Foundation and the USTA Delaware District, among other charities and fundraising efforts. He is known for his enthusiastic and sometimes loud teaching style and enjoys sharing his love for the game. A graduate of Arcadia University, Fitzgerald has earned many honors during his college playing days, including conference Rookie of the Year and Player of the Year. He earned conference doubles and singles championships, and was named the SIDA Player of the Year by the Philadelphia Inquirer in 2008. Tim was Inducted into the Arcadia University Athletic Hall of Fame in 2014.
