About this Speaker
Ellah Nze joined University of Pennsylvania in March 2016 and currently serves as the Racquet Sports Manager and a Director for the Penn Tennis Summer Camp. She has a combined 25 years of tennis playing and teaching experience, coaching at private clubs in Washington, D.C., Princeton, N.J., and New York City. Prior to her time at UPenn, Nze worked at the USTA National office in the Junior Competition department. She obtained an undergraduate degree from Duke University and a graduate degree from Georgetown University in Sports Management, Business Operations and Sales. Nze received a full tennis scholarship to attend Duke, where she competed in the No. 1 and No. 2 singles positions in all four years, earning both Atlantic Coast Conference and ITA All-America honors. She was a member of Duke's first NCAA Championship Team in 2009. As a junior player, she competed in all four Grand Slams and was consistently ranked in the Top 5 in the U.S., and top 50 in the world. While still an amateur in high school, she also competed on the Pro Circuit, winning three titles and reaching a ranking within the top 500.
